Dr. Imogen Coe is the Dean of Science at Ryerson University and an accomplished cell biologist. Her research on membrane transport proteins is internationally recognized, implemented in anti-cancer, anti-viral, and anti-parasite drugs. Dr. Coe has served on the Board of Directors of the Michael Garron Hospital, the Canadian Mining Innovation Council and is a member of the Executive Advisory Council for Champions for Change. She is recognized for her promotion and advocacy of equity, diversity and inclusivity (EDI) in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). She has sat on review panels for NSERC, CIHR, and NCIC, and was included in the Women Executive Network’s Top 100 most powerful women in Canada. We are excited to announce that Dr. Coe will be leading a breakout session on diversity in Canadian STEM this fall!
